Have Been Poor in 2026

In fact, Altera Institute is having its best year on placements.
The demand for eCommerce, digital first and AI talent has grown exponentially in 2026.
These are the careers that the PGP at Altera Institute is designed for.

Interim Placements (Audited)
Summary
Altera Institute is re-setting the benchmark on transparency and honesty in B-School placement reporting.
Rather than wait for the end of the program, Altera Institute releases periodic updates on their placements.
Altera Institute is also the first & only B-School to release a forecast with their interim report. This is done to reflect the reality at the end of the process than only stating the interim statistics which tend to be higher.
The Interim Report (released Jun 1st) captured the update at ~50% of the process elapsed with 80%+ students placed.

A Closer Look at
The Placement Process
at Altera Institute
The PGP at Altera Institute is a 15 month program.
The first 9 months are dedicated only to course work, live projects and industry application of learnings.
Starting month 10, Altera Institute starts hosting companies for placements. The process happens in 4 waves.
Wave 1, 2 and 3 are conducted in Month 10, 11 and 12 respectively. Wave 4 is conducted in the last month of the program.

At this stage ~50% of the placement process is over. All placement reporting at Altera Institute is done basis IPRS audit standards.
Why Should You Insist on
Audited Placement Reporting?
Most B-Schools self report their placement statistics.
Because placements are an important variable of B-School selection by students, there is an incentive to mis-report and inflate the statistics.
This is the reason for the mistrust on placement reports. Incoming students are always left wondering about the actual reality vs the reported statistics.
An audit partially solves for that. It ensures that all the numbers are validated by an external auditor. This creates some check on the reported numbers and improves transparency.

Highest Audit Standards
What makes
IPRS the Golden Standard?
Different B-Schools can follow different reporting standards for salaries. For example, a B-School might decide to report the total eSOPs granted (say 40 lacs) in their "package" while another may decide to report only the Year 1 eSOPs (say 10 lacs of the 40 lacs).
Hence, even audited reports are not an apples to apples comparison.
IPRS solves for this by having one common reporting standard for all B-Schools that choose to follow it.

Why Choose a
Digital & AI First Career
Over a Traditional Career

Faster career velocity – There is a huge under-supply of talent for digital and AI first talent. Professionals in these careers are seeing much higher career growth than those in traditional careers.
Pace of learning – Digital & AI are shaping the business world. Professionals on these career paths are at the forefront of this change and on an accelerated learning journey.
Risk of AI disruption – Traditional jobs are contracting esp as AI is automating processes and workflows. This means that professionals in traditional careers are experiencing growth stagnation.
